Tuesday, September 29th, 2009

House Dust Mite House dust mites are insects that can not be seen with the naked eye but microscopic. They are related to ticks and spiders and live in house dust. House dust mites feed on human skin flakes and can be found in pillows, carpets, mattresses, upholstered furniture, clothes bedcovers, and stuffed toys. They are a major problem and can cause itching, sneezing, watery eyes and wheezing. They are also a common cause of asthma and allergic symptoms. There is no way to completely eliminate dust mites, but there are methods to control them through chemical control.

How to get rid of house dust mites keep bedding clean: as we spend a lot of time in our beds and lose a lot of dead skin while they’re there. The best thing to do is to change bed frequently. Do it once a week and wash the bedding in hot water. Hot water will kill dust mites. If cold water is used, all it does is wash away most of the dust mites, but many dust mites will live through it. Avoid drying clothes in your bedroom but make sure they are dried thoroughly before putting away.

All carpeting should be removed, and be replaced with a vinyl or hardwood flooring. Use a limited of scattered rugs but should be washed a few times in a year and if you have hard-wood floors, mop. The Strange Life Of Poker Legend Stu Ungar

Monday, September 28th, 2009

Stu Ungar didn’t have much going for him in most areas of life. In fact, it could very well be argued that he was downright inept in most areas of existence. He also had a self destructive streak that manifest itself in heavy drug use and other behaviors. Ungar, however, had one great gift–he was a prodigy with a deck of cards. He would become one of the first superstars of poker before it became a fixture on ESPN, but wouldn’t live to enjoy the ‘boom’. Ungar would eventually be done in by his baser elements, and would be found dead in a Las Vegas hotel room in November, 1988.

For those unfamiliar with the big guns of high stakes poker, the only way to describe Ungar’s abilities is a metaphorical comparison to sports. With a green felt table and a deck of cards involved, Ungar was ‘Jordan-esque’. With Ungar, his greatest accomplishment was undoubtedly three World Series of Poker victories-a feat not unlike MJ’s six NBA titles. Texas Hold-em poker, the game of choice for the cognoscenti, is a seemingly simple game that belies its deceptive complexity. The successful player needs to be able to instantaneously plan strategy based on a number of ever shifting variables. Countless volumes have been written on the subject, but Ungar was able to perform complex analysis and strategy with amazing speed-almost instinctively. Between his three WSOP victories, and countless more informal victories and profitable poker room sessions, Ungar won millions of dollars playing poker. The amazing subtext to Ungar’s sheer mastery of Texas Hold’em was the fact that it was the third card game he had mastered. Ungar first came to Las Vegas as a gin rummy prodigy; he had beaten all of the good players on the East Coast and moved to the desert mecca in search of new opportunities. He had soon run the table of Nevada’s gin players, and then turned to blackjack out of necessity. He was quickly barred as a card counter at a number of Southern Nevada casinos. Needing a new vocation, he took up poker.

Ungar’s problem was that he was awful at basic survival skills. He fought a number of addictions-most notably to drugs and sports gambling. After his WSOP win in 1997, he was nearly broke and wasted away from drug use by the time the 1998 tournament rolled around. Vegas casino owner Bob Stupak provided the $10,000 he needed to defend his title, but as the games began Ungar cowered in his darkened hotel room unable to pull himself together enough to play.

Other stories of Ungar’s troubled life away from the poker tables evoke the same theme: buying a new Mercedes with cash after a WSOP victory and driving it until it fell apart from lack of maintenance; signing mortgage papers as he played in the Dunes poker room; losing 1.5 million dollars betting on sports in the course of a weekend.

Ungar’s death came as something of a shock as he’d shown signs of cleaning up his act. Longtime friend Bob Stupak and helped pay off his debts and staked him in the major poker tournaments. Ungar was found dead two days after the two had drawn up a formal contract. Ungar also left behind an ex-wife and a teenage daughter, who still live in Las Vegas. Though the official cause of death was listed as a ‘heart attack′, there were a mixture of drugs found in his system including cocaine and methadone.

While many legendary gamblers have been tough, larger than life individuals with a healthy dose of ’street smarts’, Ungar was the diametric opposite. He was almost completely helpless away from the poker table. In the card room, he became an almost unbeatable warrior. While his death came years before the ‘poker boom’, his influence as a pioneer of the game is without question.

Saturday, September 26th, 2009

And Lastly, people don′t buy when they feel there’s No Reason to Buy Right NOW When your car breaks down, you need to get it fixed right away. You have to get to work. When your roof leaks, you can′t wait. But chances are, for the products and services you sell, your prospect can buy it today, next week, or maybe they can struggle and get by without it for even longer.

But if your bill collectors are like mine, they aren′t as patient. You’ve got expenses you need to pay now. You’d like to grow your business now. To make this happen, you’ve got to get the sale now.

So how do you get prospects off the fence? Simple. Give them a better offer, one they can only get if they order now. Travel incentives are the perfect solution. Prospects take action when they want something, when their desire to enjoy the benefits of your product outweighs their desire for the money it costs. Desire is emotional, and few things stir emotion like travel can.

Paint this picture in the minds of your prospects: You stroll down a tropical white sand beach, waves rolling in. Gulls soar overhead. Brilliant sun sparkles off the breakers as they rush in. You wiggle your toes in the sand. You hear the happy sounds of children playing. Now think about the feelings you just felt. Do you think throwing in that trip will make your product easier to sell? Dangle that trip in front of your prospects, those you just can′t seem to close the sale on. You’ll be blown away by how much easier it is to get fence-sitters not only to buy, but to buy NOW. The salespeople you have now will close more often, with fewer follow up meetings. All without expensive sales force training or breaking the bank hiring more salespeople.

Making your product easy to sell is just one of the benefits travel incentives can offer you. Read below and you’ll learn how to incent your salespeople and other employees with a trip, a cruise, or dining out. And you’ll also see how offering these incentives will turn one-time buyers into long-term loyal customers.

Give us a chance to show how travel incentives grow your business, help you keep the customers you have, and make your employees happier and more productive. And lastly, we’ll show you how affordable these incentives are. We can work with you to fit pretty much any budget.
